Closing day of MBFW Russia started with the presentation from HSE ART & DESIGN. Students of HSE ART & DESIGN employed the colour range, prints, fabrics of various density that reflected the stylistics of web-punk, outdoor range and plain design. Grey, caramelized colour and dusty pink along with rainbow crossed stripes and gradient contribute to the collection freshness, boldness and casual stylistics.
The next on the runway was collective show of young designers curated by Lena Karnauhova. Designers showcased the most diverse collections — from avant-garde themes that were performed magnificently, to the softest lace on the organza hems and cosy sport-chic suits. Among the colours ruled black, smoky grey that transformed into the dark undertone, a little bit of emerald and Bordeaux red. Flounces and ruffles along with the a couple of geometric accents were major finishing elements.
Fashion project ISKRA from the Alliance of Russian Art Engineers united very different designers but all with the peculiar comprehension of cut. Neat lines, curves and eye-catching visual divisions onto PARADISE | FRAYMAN, laconic approach — all can describe the garments from MilaHalizova, graceful evening gowns from Prilutsckaya Oksana and LUNA by Diana Latariya, batik of water colour with patterns SonyaSaevskaya, accentuated garments from MiLaAnders and KARPUSHINA, cosy chic from Smorodina Fashion, actualization of a-la Russe embroidery from K.Spiegar, Pavloposadsky shawls from Anna Abdulova, puff jackets and ballerina skirts from MARIMI, ecological fur coats from Mekhovitsa, relaxed style from ISHIKI, comfort of Curlyhouse, street-fun and underground spirit from Lumier Garson by Jean Rudoff, they all exist on one platform offering the abundance of outfits for any life circumstances.
New collection from the SALLE DE MODE brand holds a very simple but manifold name Hand. Leading position in the array of colours is occupied by black — dark, strict, taken up by feelings, emotions and exclusive vision of things. Prevailing total black is sometimes blended by white and radical details in metalic shades. Precisely performed geometry of the lines interchanged with the transparency of fabrics, rough lines — floaty veil and leather complementing velvet. Dresses glinting with steel that closed the fashion show were a real highlight: uncovering the body they underlined the delicacy at the same time demonstrating the inner power and confidence.
Feminine show from ALEKSANDRA VANUSHINA combined various options of outfits — cocktail and causal, business-like and formal. Maxi summer dresses on thin straps cocooned bodies of the models with tenderness while tops with a deep neckline magnified and underlined their shapes. Colour varied from smash green to camel-leopard and biscuit-white.
Brand I V K A featured multidimensional performance of outfits: prevailing minimalism, complex cuts and androgyny could be traced in the collection. It featured fur, asymmetry, garnish beads and loose silhouettes underlining the idea and the paradox mixes. Bright speckles of yellow and deep jade colours were complemented by ‘crows feet’ print and patent leather. Avant-garde approach to making clothes gives the designer opportunity to create on the clash of Haute Couture fashion and contemporary are producing the right balance between concept and comfort.
Fantasy collection from VIVA VOX featured loose outwear, accentuated by zippers and bright accessories in the shape of intricate headwear on some models. Floaty grey flows into strict black, garnish musky outfit follows the dresses designed in yellow and blue combination. True fashion insiders will appreciate the snowy white fur cape and loose curry fur coat with a hood.
IGOR GULYAEV traditionally closed MBFW Russia. Collection Ideal Feeling was performed with a perfect precision. Royal fur cloaks, collars of brightly dyed fur over dresses tailored in the softest mint colour looked splendid and complemented each other. The colour range varied from the shades of blue of the night sky to azure, fushia and grey that acted as major background.
The presentation corner from the Alliance of Russian Art Engineers featured outfit from the project ISKRA. This is not only the off-line platform of the on-line store but also the demonstration of complex work of the team that offers training, tailor co-working and support from the structural part of design and tailoring.
ANIA NEBRENCHINA demonstrated her collection on the territory of Photobiennale 2016. Six mannequins in customized riding jackets that were inspired by France and cinematography stood surrounded by the photos from Venice Film Festival made by the master of photography Graziano Arici. Six independent styles in the feminine slim silhouettes: maroon and freshly green velvet with embroidery, peace symbol made of studs, classic all-black and the outfit styled as a riding jacket.
The official party devoted to closing of the 32nd Season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia took place at Stand-Up Club and featured the fashion show from Black Edition Collection by Pirosmani. At the afterparty JENYA MALYGINA traditionally presented the Gothic collection: black dresses in various silhouettes, trendy trouser sets and comfortable outwear.
